Kids
with Destiny We believe that part of our job as
Christian Educators is to help children discover who God has made them
to be. At Water of Life we call this discovering our destiny. The Bible
tells us in Psalm 139
that not only are we fearfully and wonderfully made and that
God knows the unique details of each of our lives, that He loves us
deeply and that His plan includes our happiness and success.
The
“discovery of destiny” happens as students study and memorize God’s
word, interact with Christian teachers and role models, and are exposed
to a wide variety of activities to stimulate their interest and
encourage them to explore and grow.
Parents, Teachers and a Plan
There are several important elements for a child’s spiritual growth.
They are….
- Parents who will bring their children to Jesus.
- A plan for spiritual growth that...
1. Places the highest priority on each child coming to
know God’s love and experiencing salvation in Jesus.
2. Includes a well designed program of Bible study and
memorization to help children know and internalize
God’s life giving
principles.
3. Teachers who themselves are students of the Bible and who
engage students in study and application of
the Word of God in
meaningful ways.
4. Parents who partner with teachers in this most important
task.
Every Subject Taught from a God-Centered World View
Every subject at Water of Life Christian School is taught from the
backdrop of these foundational truths.
- God created and continues to sustains our world;
- He is all-knowing and all-wise;
- He loves us with an everlasting love evidenced by the gift of
His Son, Jesus;
- He has created us with purpose and wants us to discover and live
out our destiny;
- Learning is the discovery of the principles and intricacies of
His creation and the part He has designed for us to play in the
world as we live our lives.
